2025 Competition Tryout Information

Competition Team Tryouts- 

MAKEUP TRYOUT– June 16th at 4pm (All ages attend at the same time.  They will do the same dance videos from the 1st tryout.) We prefer you attend the 1st tryout but if you are unable to please attend the Makeup Tryout. 

Tryout Videos will be uploaded online (on this page) 3 days prior to the tryout.  Please learn the appropriate combos for competition team tryouts or for premier team tryouts for your age group.  We will quickly review the combos on the tryout date and then will have them do the combos for us in small groups. Please fill out the Tryout registration information below & you must pay the $30 tryout fee prior to trying out. We look forward to seeing you in the studio soon!

Competition Team Tryout & Parent Meeting Information

Summer Commitments-
“The More you Train in the Summer the More prepared you are in the Fall”

June- All our Competition & Premier Students need to attend at least 1 technique class in our June 4 week session. (ex. Ballet, Turns & Leaps). If you are currently on a Premier Team (preparing for Nationals) National practices count for this. We of course encourage doing more then one class. We offer many combo classes (Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop), flexibility and conditioning classes, and much more! We have a lot of NEW classes on the schedule for this summer! If you are out of town for a class, pick another class to attend to make it up on a week you are here. We want them to get all of the classes in! (See Summer Schedule online asap and sign up today!) Classes run June 9th-July 2nd.
July- All our Competition & Premier Students need to attend at least one 3 day intensive in July (no matter their age). 1st technique intensive, 2nd technique intensive, or the Ballet intensive. (You can obviously sign up for more than one)
August- All our Competition & Premier Students need to attend the team camp in August.

competitions we are attending yet etc)

Competition Team Fees

Fall Workshops & Master classes- We bring in a lot of talented teachers and choreographers from all over the U.S. in late summer and early Fall.  Some of them will teach master classes.  Each Master Class will cost $25 and we highly advise those that can to sign up for these workshops.  All Premier dancers, Mini Elite, Jr Elite, and Sr Elite, Sr Company are required to take at least 2 of these classes.  Other competition dancers are welcome as well. 

August-

Team Camp- $85 (Due By August 7th)
Possible Uniform Leotard- $60 (Due By August 7th)

September-May Monthly Tuition (Due By the 10th of every month)
Tots & Tiny’s- $100 a month (Average of 14 hours a month)
Mini’s, Glitz, Stars- $115 a month (Average of 16 hours a month)
Mini Elite, Jr Prep, Jr Elite, Sr Prep, Sr Elite $145 a month (Average of 22 hours a month)
Any add on class (Contemporary, Tap, Acro, Extra ballet or jazz technique class) $25 add on a month
to your tuition.

September-

Registration Fee ($30 for 1 dancer/$50 for 2 or more dancers) (Due by September 5th)
Jacket $80 (Due September 5th) We are using the same grey Jo & Jax jacket from this past season (if you already have one you do not have this fee)
Competition Team Costumes (Lyrical, Jazz, & HH) $225 (Due by September 30th)

Recital Fee- (Pays for BOTH recitals) $45 for 1 dancer/$65 for 2 or more (Due by October 30th)
Hip Hop Shoes- $45 (Due by October 30th)

November-

Choreography fee- (Tots, Tinys, Minis, Glitz, Stars) $50 (Due by Nov 30th)
(Mini Elite, Jr Prep, Jr Elite, Sr Prep, Sr Elite, Sr Company) $100 (Due by Nov 30th)
(Additional Tap or Contemporary Team) $25 (Due by Nov 30th)

January-

(Team Gift ($25), Makeup ($25), Travel ($40) (Due by Jan 5th)

February-

Competition Fees Due– We attend 3 competitions, and each team does
3 dances. We do not know the exact charge for this yet- Our competition fees range from $300-$350 each year depending
on what competitions we are attending charge per dance. This is an estimate. (Due by Feb 5th)
Mini Elite, Jr Elite, Sr Elite, & Sr Company will attend one additional Convention/competition
(estimated $315 for convention and then $75 for one routine to compete)

April-

Possible Finale Shirt $15 (Due by April 30th)

Premier Team Fees

Any additional routines- add on of $100 (Due by Nov 30th)

December-

1st Convention Fees Paid (Due by Dec 15th)
Convention est- $315, each team dance $75 each

January-

2nd Convention Fees Paid (Due by Jan 30th)

February-

National Fees Due for our July Nationals (We will have a meeting about National fees after tryouts. This year we will do group fundraiser events.  Example: Businesses donating a percentage of their sales to us (McDonalds night, Zupas night, Chick fi la night, possible cleaning the Spectrum etc to earn all the teacher fees for Nationals as well as additional discounts per family towards national fees.  Then we will not have to charge the families for this.  

We will also have committee signups for (team parties, props, team motivational treats, etc)
